Dåvahugg is an album of remixed versions of various tracks that were already released during a period ranging from 2014 and forward. Never meant to be a complete album, and many of the tracks can be seen as experiments, recorded on different equipment, making the process of mixing them and bundling them together to a unity complicated. It is however a reflection of the period of the creation.

The material is generally slow paced, passes through genres like folk metal and atmospheric black metal/doom, and generally has an epic and introspective feeling. A few of the tracks are fully instrumental.

Norrsinnt is a solo project by Enslig. Main musical components are metal and scandinavian folk music. Nyckelharpa is a key instrument in the compositions.

Inspired by living on the edge of "civilization", the nature of the area, struggle of the people who used to live here, places and ways of life being forgotten.

This might be my favourite of Heilung. They've improved a bit on their later releases but their debut is still much meaner, and darker. Maria's amazing voice obviously steals the show but I also quite like Kai's too, especially on the live performance. In fact I'd say get LIFA over this IMO. The spoken word bits are really cool to hear proto-germanic in use but for relistening purposes they are going to be a bit obtrusive. Nevertheless the proper music here is on continual repeat for me.
